Retirement

Retiring early is a little scary. My mortgage is paid but other life expenses will need to be paid. I have several other part time jobs that I love. None of them are stressful. I love teaching yoga and coaching at the lake. I love coaching Special Olympics as well. I am ready to follow my passions even know right now everything is unknown. I have been wanting to write a book about my travels 10 years ago and now seems like the perfect time. I've dreamed about becoming an author. I am ready to make that dream come true. I've noticed a theme in my life of walking in the unknown and trusting that everything will work out even better than I could have imagined. Because I believe so deeply it always does. The Universe responds to trust. I do not have a plan B because if I had a plan B than that means there is some chance that my plan A will fail. It's funny because in teaching I have had to quickly go from my lesson plan which was plan A to plan B many times. Life with 15 -30 students is out of your control. You go to the next plan seamlessly.
It is funny because I am teacher I still do not feel like I have retired. I have had parties, gifts and dinners but it is summer and still just feels like summer break. I feel like retirement will hit me when all friends go back to school in July and I don't. That will be when I feel retired. I will have a personal party for my self that day. For now I am enjoying summer. I occasionally look online when I am feeling a little stressed about work but nothing pops up as the ONE job, the dream job. I think a P/T job at the library or bookstore would be amazing. My dreams of waking up having my normal morning routine then sipping my tea and walking into my office to sit at my computer to write is the one job I really want. Who knows how long it will take me to write this book and the other books I have in my head but I am living it and enjoying every moment of it.
I am so thankful for my very supportive husband and time at home with my doggies, chickens and plants. As always I will keep believing and keep making it happen. Today I took another business step forward by purchasing bags to sell the lavender from my garden and paper to wrap my beautiful handmade soaps in. Beaton Farms is something I look forward to promoting more. I love to spend time gardening.  Growing an abundant amount of food and herbs is wonderful. I can sell the extras at a market or online. I've been enjoying making lavender teas, sachets, and soap.
